You're 34 weeks pregnant and your little baby is about 18 inches long and weighs about 5 pounds.
Your baby is shedding most of the fine downy hair on his body, but the amount of vernix caseosa is increasing. The liver is now capable of processing a certain amount of waste, although it's not quite fully formed.
The fat layers are filling out baby's body, which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born. The skin is smoothing out since the fat is filling up underneath.
The lungs are continuing to mature along with the central nervous system. Your baby is developing immunities to mild infections due to antibodies crossing the placenta.
Baby should be moving into the head down position if he hasn't already. Your baby has an excellent chance of survival if born now. Although it's still better for baby to wait until closer to the due date.
