35 Weeks Pregnant
Countdown...5...

  • fetal age = 33 weeks
You're 35 weeks pregnant and your little bambino is about 18.5 inches long and weighs about 5.5 pounds.

Your baby's fingernails are long and may need a trimming after he's born. Fat layers will continue to deposit under baby's skin, these layers of fat will help them regulate their body temperature. There's still not enough fat under the skin to help keep baby warm outside of your womb.

Baby is starting to develop his own immune system. The last thing to develop on baby is his lungs. They still need a little more time to mature and prepare for life outside the womb.

Reflexes are now coordinated and they can respond to lights, sounds and touch. They can turn their heads and grasp firmly.

Although it's pretty cramped in your belly, baby should still be moving everyday. Most babies will gain about half pound per week during last month of pregnancy.

Like they say, "you grow when you sleep". Your little baby is doing a lot of sleeping and growing.
